Nearly three-quarters of
LinkedIn users (73%) and (66%) of Pinterest users agreed – at least – that the
platforms in question protect their privacy and data.. Both LinkedIn and
Pinterest received little media attention regarding data privacy issues. ,
which likely contributes to their more positive perceptions among users.
Consumers' perceptions
of major social networks were evaluated within five categories of trust:
security, legitimacy, community, ad experience, and ad relevance. Respondents
perceive it on the basis of those five pillars that define digital trust.
On June 13, 2016, Microsoft acquired LinkedIn in a deal amounting to $26 billion. The site is available in 24 international languages, including Arabic, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Japanese.
