that the authority's obtaining the membership of the organization's steering
committee came after the unanimous vote, as required by the rules of membership
of the organization, at the organization's sixth annual meeting, which was held

zones with global value chains in the era of the trade zone African Free Zones
(AfCFTA)”, in which the authority participated by default, and the region won
this seat in the framework of the authority’s endeavor to strengthen its
presence at the international and regional levels, especially Africa, and to
enhance the cooperation of the authority and its African counterparts and work
together to create and improve the investment climate in the African continent

the Suez Canal Economic Zone joined the African Economic Zones Organization
