morning, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi toured a number of development projects
in the area of the Galala Mountain. The tour included the Galala city in Ain
Sokhna, tourism resort, industrial zone, phosphate fertilizer production
complex and marble factory. The President was briefed on the status of
implementation of these projects ...
These projects seek to establish an integrated development
community that includes residential, commercial, educational and industrial
services. This is in addition to taking advantage of the clean environment and
moderate temperature of the plateau to establish tourism and therapeutic
projects. These projects provide more than 150,000 direct and indirect jobs in
all fields and are implemented by more than 100 Egyptian companies.
The President highlighted the efforts
made to achieve progress on these projects and noted their positive impact on
development by providing a decent quality of life and a better future for the
Egyptian people.
The President's tour included the marble and granite city,
which includes 8 marble factories with a total capacity of 24 million square
meters annually and a granite factory with a capacity of one million square
meters annually.
The President also inspected the first three factories in
Egypt for marble production. The first factory is already operative and the
other two are due to be completed by 30 June 2020.
The President also visited the University of Galala that
includes 14 faculties offering different specializations.
The President also visited the residential area, tourism
resorts and other facilities. The President also inspected the desalination
plant with a total of four water cranes from the desalination plant up to a
level of 70 meters to reach the Galala City. The President also inspected the
strategic reservoirs complex that includes six water reservoirs with a total
capacity of 120,000 cubic meters sufficient for one day of consumption.
