Cairo – Eco : Minister of technology and communication, eng.Yasser El Qady and ITIDA CEO,
Asmaa Hosny, attended the conference that held earlier today, Wednesday to
discuss the future plans and opportunities for the investment in Egypt. One of
the event's important highlights was a deal for the German company, Hero
Delivery, to acquire the Egyptian company for online food delivery, Otlob,
aiming to increase the businesses growth in the Egyptian market.
Minister of technology
and communication, Yasser El Qady, has participated in this event as a keynote
speaker to support the investments of huge companies in the field of
information technology and electronic commerce services, which reflect
positively of benefits to attract and highlight the foreign investment
opportunities.
On his behalf, president
of Otlob Company, Walid El Saadani confirmed the cooperation between Otlob and
the German Hero delivery of the same field, which came to invest in the
Egyptian market through acquiring Otlob that considered one of the most accurate
decision for expanding our business in the market.
Walid added that Otlob
is up to date with the new technology, that offers high quality of online
services with more than 230 food menus from all the preferred restaurants, just
by one click.
Hero Delivery CEO, Peter
Jan Vandet, stated that the company is always searching for successful
partnerships throughout different countries, adding that Egypt is considered to
have the most attractive markets for foreign investments in the Middle East.
Furthermore, working with approximately 40 countries worldwide including
Turkey, Germany, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Hero Delivery has chosen

has become worldwide, Peter said.
It is stated that Otlob
has started as a website in 1999 reaching to be a smartphone application to facilitate
the process of food delivery for users. The annual increase percentage for
otlob's user database was 100% last year, on the other hand, the early months
of 2017 have witnessed an increase of 300%.
Hero Delivery company
achieves 200 million annual food delivery services, in which it covers 42
countries worldwide, moreover, Hero has reached the top of online food delivery
in 35 countries.
