President El Sisi
underscored Japan's importance as a strategic partner of Egypt.
The President
asserted that Egypt possesses the necessary capabilities to represent a pivotal
aspect for all Japanese industries.President El Sisi stressed that Egypt could
be their access point and gateway into various markets in Africa, the Middle
East and Europe, primarily for Japan's car industry, capitalizing on the free
trade area agreements Egypt shares with these countries.
President El Sisi lauded
Toyota Tsusho's activities over tens of years.
He emphasized that there are
numerous opportunities to expand the company's activities, notably in light of
the mega national projects currently being implemented in Egypt, including the
Suez Canal Area Development Project, which encompasses industrial zones and
logistics hubs. The President also pointed out a multitude of infrastructure
projects, primarily in the conventional and renewable energy sector, in
addition to measures undertaken to attract more investments and streamline
their procedures.
Mr. Kashitani reviewed
projects which Toyota Tsusho is currently studying to implement in Egypt over
the coming period, particularly in light of the company's decision to benefit
from the promising opportunities offered by the Egyptian economy in a number of
developmental projects.
The President and Chief
Executive Officer of Toyota Tsusho Corporation noted that he will continue
consultations and coordination with the Egyptian side in the coming period so
as to implement the company's projects in Egypt and explore the opportunities
offered to expand its activities.
